Academy Scholars Loan Report
In our latest loan report, we take a look at how Jack Loughran, Reuben Falding, Simba Nyamwanza and Haydn Lewis are getting on.
Jack is currently playing in step three for Redditch United, Simba is at Newcastle Town in step four, while Reuben and Haydn are also in step four at Kidsgrove Athletic.
Jack Loughran - Redditch United
Jack has played 12 games for Redditch so far, starting 10 of them.
During this time, he has provided four assists and been awarded both the December and January player of the month.
He has mainly played as a number ten or number eight in United's midfield.
His manager has been impressed, noting that he has had a real impact and been on a different level at times.
He’s also pleased with his defensive work, with the 19-year-old regularly involved in 1v1’s and winning them.
However, he would like Jack to score a few more goals and improve his decision-making at times.
Reuben Falding - Kidsgrove Athletic
Reuben has played 18 games for Kidsgrove, starting all of them so far, and he's been named player of the match on four occasions.
His gaffer is really pleased with his attitude and energy, stating that he has cemented his place in the team and is a fan's favourite.
His defending has been good in duels and he has been comfortable aerially.
The one area his manager would like him to improve in is his quality in possession and in the final third.
Simba Nyamwanza - Newcastle Town
Simba has played three games at Newcastle, starting two of them since joining.
His manager, Neil Baker, was notably pleased with his performance against Congleton Town, outlining that he made good decisions and showed his quality while playing as a striker alongside a target man.
Although, Baker has noted that he would like to see Simba show the spark he has more regularly.
Haydn Lewis - Kidsgrove Athletic
Haydn has featured in seven games for Kidsgrove, starting three of them.
During his time at the club, he has scored a penalty in the quarter-final of the Staffordshire Cup against Hednesford and provided two assists.
His boss has been impressed with how Haydn has started with him getitng an assist on his debut.
He looks forward to seeing how he will develop during his time there.
Elsewhere in the academy, Harry Fallon has joined Shifnal Town on loan, Karsten Cairns has joined Simba at Newcastle and Arnold Manseya has gone to Coventry Sphinx.
