Enhanced Security Measures at Croud Meadow
Shrewsbury Town would like to remind supporters enhanced security checks are now taking place at the Croud Meadow.
Stewards will be carrying out handheld wand detection and bag checks on supporters as they enter the stadium.
These new measures are being implemented in line with the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill - to further improve safety and security at public venues.
Handheld wand detector scans will be conducted quickly and respectfully by trained stewards at Super Blues Way, both Lidl gates and the main entrance off Oteley Road - ensuring a safer stadium for all.
As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, please note that anyone who leaves the stadium footprint (past all perimeter gates) will unfortunately not be permitted to re-enter the site.
This measure helps ensure that prohibited items are not brought back into the stadium. All outer gates will be closed for the duration of the fixture.
Please refer to the list below this article & our customer charter for confirmation of prohibited items.
Food and drink will be permitted into the stadium but only in the approved packaging. No glass or metal items are permitted.
These measures are being implemented with the full support of West Mercia Police.
With the new measures now in force, supporters are asked to arrive early this weekend to help the new checks run smoothly.
We hope everyone understands that implementing these measures only strengthens the safety operation for everyone attending Croud Meadow.
