First Interview | Sam Stubbs

New recruit Sam Stubbs sat down with the Shrewsbury media team after becoming the club's third signing of the summer.

The talented centre-back arrives at the Croud Meadow following an outstanding campaign with Cheltenham, where he was named both Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.

With a number of clubs chasing his signature this summer, Sam sat down to discuss his move to Shropshire and his hopes for the season ahead.

The 26-year-old also gave an insight into the conversations he's had with director of football Micky Moore as well as head coach Michael Appleton.

And he discussed the role his dad Alan has played in his career, with Stubbs senior well-known for being a centre-back with the likes of Everton, Celtic and Bolton.
