Important information for season ticket holders ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Crawley
Shrewsbury Town would like to make supporters aware of a technical issue affecting some digital season tickets stored in Google Pay or Apple Wallet.
At recent home fixtures, a number of fans have experienced difficulties scanning their digital season tickets at the turnstiles.
Following Saturday’s game, the club investigated the matter with our ticketing partners, Fanbase and Skidata (our turnstile operators).
We have since been informed recent updates to Google and Apple systems may have altered QR codes stored in some wallets.
As a result, some tickets may not scan correctly on matchday.
This is an issue affecting multiple venues across the country and is not limited to Shrewsbury Town.
We are continuing to work closely with our partners to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we are advising supporters to access their season tickets via the Fanbase App rather than Google Pay or Apple Wallet for Saturday’s match against Crawley.
If your season ticket is linked to your Fanbase account, you can simply open the app and view your ticket directly within it - there is no need to move it to an external wallet.
The QR code displayed in the Fanbase App is optimised for turnstile scanning.
For supporters who have not yet downloaded the Fanbase App, we recommend doing so to ensure smooth entry on matchdays:

Apple: [Download here]
If you are unable to access your season ticket digitally, please email our ticket office at tickets@shrewsburytown.co.uk
We will then email you a PDF version of your ticket, which you can use for Saturday’s fixture.
We appreciate supporters’ understanding and cooperation as we work to resolve this issue and we are sorry for an inconvenience caused.
