Isaac England signs first professional contract with Shrewsbury Town
Shrewsbury Town are thrilled to announce Isaac England has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The highly-rated central midfielder has agreed a three-year deal at the Croud Meadow and will wear the number 38 shirt for the 2025/26 campaign.
Isaac’s new deal marks the latest milestone in a journey that began when he joined the club’s pre-academy aged just five.
He then entered our academy aged seven before progressing through the ranks and making his first-team debut last season.
Now 17, the Shrewsbury-born midfielder will be part of Michael Appleton’s senior squad for the upcoming campaign.
Director of football Micky Moore said: “We’re incredibly proud to see Isaac sign his first professional contract with the club.
“He’s been part of Shrewsbury Town since the age of five, and it’s always special when a local lad and lifelong fan makes it through to the first team.
“Isaac made a real impact when he broke into the senior squad last season, and he’s carried that momentum into pre-season - getting his first senior goal in our friendly at Leamington.
“He’s a player we have very high hopes for, and his journey is a fantastic example of our development pathway in action.
“I’d like to thank Charlie Musselwhite (academy manager) and all the academy staff for their fantastic work with Isaac over the years.
“I’d also like to thank Michael and the first team staff for the belief they have shown in the pathway players and for giving them an opportunity to be with the first team.”
