Salop look to make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they welcome Karl Robinson’s Salford City to the Croud Meadow.

Here is everything you need to know about the Ammies ahead of kick-off.

Key Players

There will be a familiar face lining up against Salop this weekend, with former striker Dan Udoh likely to start for Salford. Udoh signed for the Ammies on Deadline Day and went straight into the team for their match against Tranmere. He grabbed two assists in what was an impressive debut and is going to be a key asset for the Ammies this year.

His striker partner, Cole Stockton, has grabbed two goals in his last two appearances and will be hoping he can recapture his goal-scoring form after a few quieter seasons since leaving Morecambe.

Experienced midfielder Kadeem Harris has also looked dangerous for Karl Robinson’s side so far, bagging two goals and two assists in his first seven appearances.

The Manager

Salford head coach Karl Robinson is one of the most experienced managers in League Two - despite today marking just his 45th birthday. The former MK Dons and Charlton gaffer has taken charge of nearly 800 EFL games, boasting an impressive 40% win record. He took charge at Salford in January 2024. In his first full season in Greater Manchester, he guided the club to an eighth-place finish, missing out on the play-offs by one point.

Form

The Ammies have made a strong start to the season, sitting in eighth place with 13 points, just two points behind the league leaders. They have won three of their last five matches, with their last defeat being a narrow 1-0 loss to Walsall on August 23.

Head-to-Head Record

Saturday will be our first-ever league encounter with Salford, with our previous three encounters all taking place in the FA Cup. Those three games have ended in a win, a draw, and a loss. Our only encounter in Shropshire ended in a 1-1 draw, with an Adam Rooney goal cancelling out Ollie Norburn’s opener.
