Match Report
There was late drama at Boundary Park as Shrewsbury and Oldham played out a 2-2 draw.
Tommy McDermott netted in the 90th minute to put Michael Appleton's side 2-1 up - with that goal looking set to secure Salop a third league win in a row.
But deep into five minutes of added on-time, Joe Garner rescued a point for the hosts with a clever header.
After a goalless first half, Anthony Scully had opened the scoring for Salop with a spectacular strike.
Tom Pett then equalised for Micky Mellon's side - with the game having the potential to go either way from that point
But - following a sea of late drama - both teams had to make do with a point.
Team news:
Appleton named an unchanged team for the third game in a row - with Town heading to Boundary Park on the back of victories against Cambridge and Crawley.
In a 3-4-2-1 system, Will Brook continued in goal with Luca Hoole, Sam Stubbs and Will Boyle making up the back three.
Ismeal Kabia and Sam Clucas were deployed at wing-back with Taylor Perry and Tom Sang the midfield two.
In attack, Scully and McDermott operated just behind George Lloyd.
Oldham lined up in a 4-1-3-2 system with Salop favourite Ryan Woods conducting things from the base of midfield. Garner and Michael Mellon, son of manager Micky, were the front two.
Report:
It was Oldham who started the game on the front foot with Oli Hammond firing wide from just inside the box after two minutes.
Mellon's side then went even closer when Hammond rolled a wonderful delivery right across the six-yard box.
That cross looked destined to be tapped home by Mellon, who was just yards from goal.
But Brook produced an outstanding block to, somehow, keep the ball out.
The hosts continued to knock on the door - with Town looking to soak up pressure and hit them on the break.
And the Latics were a whisker away from breaking the deadlock just before the 20-minute mark - with Luke Hannant thundering the crossbar with an effort from 25 yards.
Town's goal had lived a charmed life and that proved to be the case again just past the half-hour mark.
A quick break saw Jake Caprice send in a cross. And that delivery was met by Mellon, whose header clipped the post before sailing wide.
Ten seconds into the second half, though, Salop were ahead - and they did in spectacular fashion.
There didn't seem to be a lot on when Scully collected the ball just outside the box.
But the forward then unleashed a wonderful strike that clipped the bottom of the bar before nestling into the top corner of the net.
In the 51st minute, Oldham got themselves back on terms - with Pett slamming in a cut-back from Jamie Robson.
Town hit back with a clever move that almost saw them re-take the lead.
Kabia hit the byline and sent in a cross that McDermott dummied. Scully then pounced only to see a low effort sail wide.
Salop made their first change on the hour with Josh Ruffels replacing Perry.
Some wonderful football involving Scully and Clucas then ended with McDermott seeing a header claimed by keeper Mathew Hudson.
Town continued to press for a winner from that point with Clucas firing wide at the back post after collecting a Kabia cross.
And they thought they had in the 90th minute when the ball broke for McDermott in the box.
The Burnley loanee smashed the ball home before celebrating jubilantly with the away end.
But in the 95th minute, Oldham grabbed a last-gasp equaliser when Garner nodded in a cross from close range.
