New floodlights installed at the Croud Meadow

Shrewsbury Town are pleased to announce work has started on the installation of cutting-edge LED floodlights at the Croud Meadow.

The project has seen us replace metal halide fixtures with high-performance LED technology, reducing the total number of lamps while significantly increasing light quality.

Work started on replacing all the floodlights at the stadium on Monday and will be completed before our home fixture against Newport.

Alongside reducing energy use, the improvement works will enhance visibility and improve the stadium experience on matchdays.

The project began with the removal of 64 old floodlights.

Once the old lamps were removed, the focus shifted to installing 32 new LED floodlights.

The new system is not only more powerful but also far more efficient, resulting in lower energy consumption and reduced maintenance costs - an important step toward more sustainable stadium operations.
