Post-Accrington Stanley | Michael Appleton

Boss Michael Appleton cut a frustrated figure after his Shrewsbury side were held to a goalless draw by Accrington Stanley at the Croud Meadow.

Despite dominating large spells of the game and carving out several clear-cut chances, Town couldn’t find the breakthrough that would have secured a deserved victory.

Speaking to the media afterwards, Appleton admitted his frustration, insisting his players had done more than enough to claim all three points.

The boss also praised the performance of the academy youngster Isaac England who impressed on his first league start for the club.

And the boss also gave a transfer update ahead of the window closing on Monday.
