Post-Barrow | Michael Appleton
Michael Appleton chatted to the media after watching his Shrewsbury side do everything but score in a 0-0 draw at Barrow.
In horrible conditions, Town had the elements in their favour in the first half and put the hosts under relentless pressure.
Luca Hoole hit the post. Anthony Scully twice forced goalkeeper Wyll Standwell into good saves. And Taylor Perry also went close.
But despite their dominance, they couldn't find a breakthrough.
After the interval, Appleton's men dealt with the conditions much better than the hosts did in the first half.
And they had their moments again with substitute Tommy McDermott also hitting the post.
Speaking post-match, Appleton said he was disappointed his side didn't come away from Cumbria with all three points.
The boss also praised Town's travelling fans - with 376 braving the elements to make the long journey north.
And Michael said the result now has to be the start of an unbeaten run - with Salop next in action at home to Cambridge next weekend.
