Boss Michael Appleton chatted to the press following our EFL Trophy victory over Chelsea.

Goals from Tommy McDermott, John Marquis and Will Boyle saw Salop grab a convincing 3-1 win in Southern Group C of the competition.

In what was an impressive display, Salop could have won by a much greater margin with McDermott, Marquis, Tom Sang, Taylor Perry and Callum Stewart all having chances to make the scoreline more emphatic.

Speaking to the media post-match, Appleton discussed his team's performance. He also praised McDermott and Isaac England - with both youngsters impressing in the middle of the park.

And the boss also spoke about academy prospect Will Gray, who marked a special night by coming off the bench to make his senior debut at just 16 years old.
