Post-Salford | Michael Appleton

Michael Appleton met with the media following the game against Salford.

On what was a cruel afternoon for Town, two goals from Dan Udoh and a Ben Woodburn free-kick won it for the visitors.

That scoreline, though, was incredibly harsh on Town who had been pushing for a winner after Sam Clucas had cancelled out Udoh's opener.

Appleton's men played some really good stuff at times with Brad Ihionvien hitting the bar and Ismeal Kabia seeing an effort well saved by Matt Young.

Speaking to the media post-match, Appleton couldn't hide his frustration that Town didn't capitalise on a dominant 30-minute spell in the second half.

And the boss also discussed the impact of substitute Isaac England, who registered a brilliant assist for Clucas's goal.
