Michael Appleton chatted to the media ahead of our Carabo Cup clash at Grimsby.

Town make the trip to North East Lincolnshire tomorrow looking to bounce back from a disappointing display at Tranmere.

Appleton met with the press on the same day Tommy McDermott became our eighth signing of the summer - with the midfielder joining on loan from Premier League Burnley.

Speaking to the press, Michael outlined why he was keen to add the 20-year-old to his squad.

And the boss also reflected on the Tranmere game and talked about what he is expecting from David Artell's Grimsby.
