Remembrance Match to take place on November 15
Shrewsbury Town will honour armed forces past and present at our home game against Newport on November 15.
Each year, we are proud to host a Remembrance Match in tribute to service personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
And with our next four games all set to be away from home, the match against Newport is our closest home fixture to Remembrance Sunday (November 10) and Armistice Day (November 11).
Ahead of kick-off, the club will come together to remember those who served our country.
Wreaths will be laid by club staff and representatives from the armed forces.
There will then be a rendition of the Last Post followed by a one-minute silence that will begin and end on the referee's whistle.
During the game, players will wear armbands with a poppy on. There will also be a poppy on the cover of the matchday programme.
Further details and timings for our Remembrance Match will be confirmed in due course.
