Show Your Heart: Shrewsbury Town proudly supporting Every Minute Matters
Town’s away fixture to Colchester is set to kick off at 3:01pm in alignment with the EFL and British Heart Foundation’s ‘Every Minute Matters’ campaign.
Fixtures across the English Football League (EFL) this week are all set to kick off a minute later than the scheduled time to recognise Heart Month and raise awareness for the campaign, which is designed to encourage people to learn CPR and help save lives.
The campaign was first launched in May 2024 and has already made an incredible impact, already engaging 270,000 people to learn CPR using the British Heart Foundation’s RevivR tool by May 2025.
Nine months on, the total has reached over 450,000, and the campaign is hoping to hit an outstanding 500,000 this month.
There are more than 40,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year, and eight out of 10 of these will happen in the home.
And tragically, less than one in ten people survive, often because those around them lack the skills or confidence to perform CPR.
You can 'Show Your Heart' this February and learn CPR in just 15 minutes by searching BHF RevivR or visiting revivr.bhf.org.uk
