Shrewsbury Town bolster ranks with the signing of Sam Stubbs!
Shrewsbury Town are thrilled to confirm the signing of defender Sam Stubbs on a two-year deal.
The highly regarded centre-back joins the club following an outstanding season on loan at Cheltenham Town, where he was named both Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
Sam becomes our third summer signing, following the arrivals of Tom Anderson and Sam Clucas.
Like his fellow new additions, the 26-year-old brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in the EFL.
Director of football Micky Moore said: "We are delighted to add Sam to our ranks.
“He’s a defender who had a lot of interest this summer following what was an excellent season for him personally at Cheltenham.
“At 26 years old, he is a great age, but he still has lots of experience.
“I think we have signed a talented defender hitting his prime.
“Like our other additions this summer, he is another player who has got a promotion on his CV.
“He is a leader, he’s strong in the air, and he is physically strong. He is an all-round good defender.”
