Our women's team have made a superb start to the 2025/26 season, going unbeaten in their first six West Midlands Regional Women’s Football League fixtures.
That impressive form has put them firmly in the promotion picture with Town having games in hand as they look to chase down early leaders Redditch.
Sunday’s meeting with Leek – which kicks off at 1pm - is a rearranged fixture after the original clash in October was abandoned due to a neck injury suffered by Town captain Vikki Owen.
Salop were leading 1-0 when the game was stopped after 21 minutes to ensure Vikki could receive the necessary medical attention.
That knock saw the Salop skipper ruled out for 12 weeks.
But she will be in the Croud Meadow stands this Sunday, roaring on her team mates as they look to secure a crucial three points.
Fans attending the game can gain access to the stadium from the Oteley Road entrance. The turnstiles and the Arthur Rowley bar will be open from 12pm.
Director of Shrewsbury Town Women, Leanne Rimmer, said: “For the very first time, Shrewsbury Town Women will play three matches on the Croud Meadow pitch this season.
“Our rearranged game against Leek will be the first of the 2025/26 campaign and we’re hoping as many fans as possible will come along to cheer us on.
“The games we’ve played in the stadium in recent years have been a great opportunity to showcase the growth of the women’s game, the growth of the league and the growth of our team.
“They have been fantastic occasions where we have received some wonderful support – with more than 900 fans coming to the first one. And we’re really hopeful we will get another big crowd this weekend.
“Leek are a team with a lot of potential. And it’s nice for us to welcome them back and play them on the Croud Meadow pitch after our match in October was abandoned.
“Leek travelled a long way for that game. But as soon as Vikki got injured, their only priority was her and her welfare.”
Tickets for the game cost £4 for adults and £2 for concessions. They are available by clicking HERE.

“This is a really big game for us in terms of our hopes for the season,” Leanne added.
“On top of that, we’ve got players in the team who have been Shrewsbury supporters all their lives.
“We’ve also got a lot of new players who are excited to play in the stadium for the first time.
“The league is now really competitive. It is getting stronger all the time and there is now quality throughout the division.
“So hopefully as many fans as possible will come along to see a really entertaining game of football.”
