Toto Nsiala leaves club for family reasons

Shrewsbury Town can confirm that, for family reasons, Toto Nsiala has chosen to leave the club and take some time away from the game.

Toto first joined the club in 2016 from Hartlepool United, where he went on to be part of the team that finished third in League One and reached the play-off final.

The centre-back joined Ipswich Town in 2018 and then had spells with Bolton Wanderers, Fleetwood Town and Burton Albion before returning to the Croud Meadow in 2024.

His second spell in Shropshire saw him make a further 29 appearances, taking his total to over 100 Salop games.

Upon leaving the club, Toto said:

“I’d like to thank everyone at Shrewsbury Town for some brilliant memories at the club.

“To be part of a team that finished third in League One and reached two finals at Wembley was an honour.

“Returning to the club and being added to the 100 club wall was special too.”

Toto departs Shrewsbury with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
