Town CEO Liam Dooley elected to FA Council
Shrewsbury Town are pleased to announce that chief executive Liam Dooley has been elected by the EFL to serve as a representative on the Football Association (FA) Council for the 2025/26 season.
The FA Council is a vital part of football’s governance in this country, bringing together representatives from across the game to help shape the future direction of English football.
Liam’s election ensures that both the EFL and Shrewsbury Town continue to have a voice in those national discussions.
Liam said: “My passion for football runs deeps, both professionally and personally, and I care greatly about the direction of the game at all levels.
“It is an honour for me to be elected and voted onto the FA council by the other 72 clubs in the EFL, and I will do all I can to represent the views, challenges and aspirations of our club and clubs up and down the pyramid.”
