Town duo nominated for EFL October awards

Salop boss Michael Appleton has been nominated for the EFL League Two Manager of the Month award for October.

Furthermore, defender Will Boyle has also received a nomination for October's EFL League Two Player of the Month award.

Town went unbeaten in October, drawing away at Barrow and Oldham Athletic, either side of home victories against Cambridge United and Crawley Town.

Not only were the results positive, but performances shone too and Michael's side kept three clean sheets in their four games.

Centre-back Will Boyle was integral to that achievement, but he also contributed heavily at the top end of the pitch with two goals.

His first strike saw us take the lead against Cambridge. He then backed that up in our next game by netting a late winner against Crawley.
