Town launch new raffle, courtesy of supporter Nathan Fowler!
Salop supporters can be in with the chance to win a Shrewsbury Town shirt on Saturday!
We are pleased to launch a new raffle across the FanZone and Smithy's Bar, an idea courtesy of lifelong Town supporter Nathan Fowler.
Every soft or alcoholic drink bought in the FanZone or in our supporters' bar will come with a complimentary raffle ticket.
This ticket will enter you into a raffle to win a Shrewsbury Town shirt, with the winner being drawn at half-time of our game against Gillingham this weekend.
Both venues open at 12:30pm on Saturday.
Nathan is a huge Shrewsbury fan and is someone many of his fellow supporters will recognise from his work throughout the Croud Meadow on matchdays.
He joined the club through the Shrewsbury Town Foundation's Youth Hub - a programme that gives those aged 16-24 skills and support, helping them gain employment - before progressing to volunteer with the foundation.
And, over the last year, he's grown his role to include work with the football club and academy.
Now, alongside his part-time work at Severndale Academy (where Nathan himself attended), he has a matchday position working with our club mascots and flag bearers.
Nathan said: "First off, I'd like to thank everyone who's worked with me at the football club and foundation.
"I've really enjoyed my year here and hopefully there are many more years to come!
"It's been a great experience doing the projects and growing as much as I can professionally and personally.
"I've also really enjoyed seeing what life is like as an employee at the club and foundation."
Town CEO Liam Dooley said: "Watching Nathan's development while he's been with us has been fantastic.
"We've been having regular meetings since he started almost a year ago and he's become a massive part of the football club.
"He's been on the Shrewsbury Biscuit Podcast with me and he has been instrumental in the matchday operation, working with the club mascots or the flag bearers.
"Having started by volunteering at the foundation, he's branched out to work across the club and academy too, epitomising our 'more than a club for 90 minutes' mindset.
"He should be very proud of himself and we're looking forward to working with him more."
