Job Title: Store Supervisor (Part-Time, 18 Hours)
Location: Shrewsbury Town Football Club
Work Location: The Croud Meadow Stadium
Pay: £12.80 per hour
Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent
Hours of Work
- Friday: 9:45am – 4:15pm
- Saturday: 9:45am – 4:15pm
- Sunday: 9:45am – 4:15pm
Please note: You will also be required to work on all home matchdays and during club events as part of your contracted hours, with some possible overtime opportunities. Working patterns around additional hours are to be discussed.

Role Overview
Elite Pro Sports are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable store supervisor to join our retail team at Shrewsbury Town Football Club. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong people skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the busy club store, ensuring fans and visitors enjoy a first-class retail experience. You will be responsible for supervising staff, managing stock levels, maintaining high visual merchandising standards, and delivering excellent customer service at all times.
This is more than just a supervisory role - it is about creating a welcoming atmosphere for supporters, maximising sales opportunities, and ensuring smooth operations on both regular trading days and high-demand matchdays.
Key Responsibilities
As Store Supervisor, your duties will include but are not limited to:
Store Operations
- Opening and closing the store in line with company trading hours.
- Ensuring the shop floor and stockroom are clean, organised, and ready for trade each day.
- Carrying out merchandising plans provided by the retail area manager and operations manager to maximise sales.
- Monitoring and maintaining accurate stock levels, including booking in deliveries and organising replenishment.
Team Leadership
- Leading and motivating retail staff to deliver excellent service and achieve sales targets.
- Training and guiding team members on promotions, product knowledge, and upselling techniques.
- Planning staff rotas, managing break cover, and arranging extra cover for busy trading periods.
- Submitting payroll in line with company deadlines.
Customer Service
- Greet customers and provide a warm, professional welcome to the store.
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling multiple payment methods.
- Dealing with returns, exchanges, and customer queries in line with policy.
- Proactively upselling products and highlighting promotional offers.
- Ensuring all customers have a positive, world-class retail experience that reflects the club’s values.
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Carrying out daily cash reconciliation, maintaining till floats, and managing safe contents.
- Following company banking procedures accurately.
- Checking and responding to emails and communications from head office.
- Assisting with regular stocktakes and resolving any discrepancies.
Matchdays & Events
- Preparing the store in advance of matchdays to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Supervising retail operations on event days when footfall is high.
- Supporting product launches, retail events, and promotional campaigns.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced: Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable, ideally with supervisory responsibility.
- Organised: Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- People-focused: A natural leader who can motivate staff while ensuring excellent service for customers.
- Resilient: Able to stay calm and professional under pressure in a busy retail environment.
- Adaptable: Comfortable working during evenings, weekends, and matchdays when required.
- Passionate: Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to the success of Shrewsbury Town Football Club.
