Salop had chances to win what proved to be a keenly contested clash at Blundell Park - with Tom Sang going close on three occasions, one of which hit the post. John Marquis also saw a header brilliantly kept out by goalkeeper Jackson Smith.

And those moments proved costly when substitute Justin Amaluzor popped up with an 83rd-minute goal for the hosts.

Speaking to the press post-match, Michael discussed the chances Town had to win the game.

He also asserted how important the January transfer window is and said he hoped for movement as early as this week.
