Interview | Gavin Cowan - Post-Aston Villa

Gavin Cowan enjoyed a chat with the media after watching his Shrewsbury side close out pre-season with a win over an Villa XI at the Croud Meadow.

A brace from Josh Davison as well as a sensational Isaac Fletcher strike saw Salop secure a deserved 3-2 win in the Shropshire sunshine.

That win saw pre-season come to an end for Cowan's men who will start the competitive action next weekend when they travel to take on Salford in the League Cup.

Speaking to the assembled press, Gavin reflected on pre-season as a whole. He also expressed his delight at seeing Davison net his first Town goals. And the boss gave a transfer update with the club still in the market for two or three additions before the window closes.
