Salop Away:Salford City fan guide

Competitive football is back - with Salop making the trip to Greater Manchester to take on Salford City in the first round of the Carabao Cup tomorrow.

We've put together everything you need to know ahead of Saturday's clash. From getting to the stadium to nearby pubs, parking, food, and ground information.

Card Payment at Turnstile A2 will be available for the East Stand Terrace on the day of the game. (£1 increase on matchday).

Admission for all away supporters is via Turnstile A situated at the East end of the ground on Moor Lane.

Travel:

Supporters travelling by car should be aware that there is no dedicated away supporter parking at the stadium, with many surrounding roads operating a residents' parking scheme on matchdays.

There are streets available with no restrictions outside of the restricted parking zone. There is a large car park at the Whitefield Park & Ride (M45 8AB), where you can catch bus 95 or 98, which both run near to the stadium.

For Salopians travelling by train, the closest train station to the AIG Stadium is Manchester Victoria, with the quickest route to Saturday's venue being via public transport, with taxis being available from the station alongside the number 97 & 98 bus, which stop by the stadium. 

Away end:

Salop fans will be situated in the East Stand terrace, with a portion of seated tickets available in the North Stand, located on Moor Lane. 

Same-level access is available at the away entrance for travelling Town fans, as well as accessible toilets situated in the away fan zone. 

Supporters will have the choice of two kiosk's is the away fanzone; Babs' Cafe offers a range of food and drink, including Burgers, Hot Dogs, Pies, Soft Drinks, Hot Drinks and more.

There is also a kiosk next door that serves a range of alcoholic drinks, pies and confectionery. 

There are no pubs in the immediate vicinity of the ground, and the surrounding area is largely residential; however, the Fairways Lodge is available ten minutes away. A bit further, you'll find the Friendship Inn on Scholes Lane, which is about a 15-20 minute walk to the ground.

Kit: 

Town will line up for the first time competitively in this year's new navy home shirt with white shorts, with the goalkeepers repping the Purple away shirt on the road for the first time in competitive action, avoiding a clash with the hosts' recently revealed Tangerine home strip.
