Matchday Staff Recruitment – Join the Shrewsbury Town Team

Shrewsbury Town are looking to recruit matchday staff to join our team at The Croud Meadow for the 2026/27 season.

We have a number of opportunities available across matchday operations, with roles available in stewarding, hospitality, security, turnstiles and car park operations.

Whether you have previous experience or are looking to gain experience in a matchday environment, we would love to hear from you.

All roles require applicants to have the right to work in the UK.

Steward

£12.71 per hour | Approximately four hours per fixture

As a matchday steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of all attendees at The Croud Meadow.

You will monitor crowd activity, assist supporters and respond to incidents when required, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone attending the stadium.

You will work under the direction of the Safety Officer and Control Room.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety, or a willingness to undertake the required training.

Hospitality Steward

£12.71 per hour | Approximately four hours per fixture

Working as part of a team, you will help create and maintain a safe environment for supporters within the hospitality areas of The Croud Meadow.

The role will involve helping and guiding guests, checking tickets and ensuring all guests comply with ground regulations.

You will help create a safe and welcoming environment for all hospitality guests and work under the direction of the Safety Officer and Control Room.

SIA Staff

£16.02 per hour | Approximately four hours per fixture

SIA staff play an important role in helping to create and maintain a safe environment at The Croud Meadow.

Working as part of a wider team of stewards and stadium staff, the role will include selective searching at turnstiles, enforcing ground regulations, and assisting with refusals and ejections where required.

You will work under the direction of the Safety Officer and Control Room.

Requirement:

Valid SIA Licence.

Gate Staff (Turnstiles)

£12.71 per hour | Approximately two hours and 15 minutes per fixture

As a member of the Gate Staff team, you will help ensure all turnstiles are fully operational and assist supporters with scanning their tickets.

You will also help manage entry into the stadium and monitor queuing to ensure supporters can enter The Croud Meadow safely and efficiently.

You will work under the direction of the Safety Officer and Control Room.

Car Park Staff

£12.71 per hour | Approximately 5–8 hours per fixture

As a member of the Car Park Staff team, you will help ensure the smooth flow of vehicles around the stadium on matchdays.

Your responsibilities will include checking permits and processing cash and card payments across the stadium parking zones.

You will work under the direction of the Safety Officer and Control Room.
