Town Welcome Kian McMahon-Brown on loan from Burnley

Shrewsbury Town are thrilled to announce the signing of Kian McMahon-Brown, with the exciting forward joining on loan from Burnley.

The 18-year-old arrives at the Croud Meadow following an impressive campaign with the Clarets’ under-21s, where his goalscoring form saw him named Academy Player of the Season last term.

McMahon-Brown grabbed double figures for Burnley’s development side and arrives in Shropshire with a growing reputation as one of the club’s exciting young attacking prospects.

The forward also has international experience with the Republic of Ireland, having represented his country at the Under-17 World Cup.

Manager Gavin Cowan said: “Kian is a really exciting player.

“He’s young, this is his first loan, but he’s a player with a lot of potential and a really high ceiling.

“He’s a youth international striker and Burnley have very high hopes for him - they see him as a player with a bright future.

“From our perspective, we want to help him realise that potential.

“He gives us versatility as well because he can play as a nine, but he can also drop into that 10 position.
