Head coach Gavin Cowan spoke to the media following Shrewsbury draw with Barnet at the Croud Meadow.

Taking charge alongside assistants Dave Edwards and Jamie Haynes for the first time, Cowan watched his side produce a disciplined defensive display in a closely contested encounter that saw both teams share the points.

Speaking post-match, the boss praised Town’s work out of possession and emphasised the importance of laying foundations in the early weeks of his tenure.

Gavin also reflected on the emotion of managing Shrewsbury for the first and provided a transfer update, with the window set to close at 7pm on Monday.
