First Interview | Sam Proctor

New signing Sam Proctor sat down with the Shrewsbury Town media team after completing his season-long loan move from Aston Villa.

The England youth international arrives at Croud Meadow with an impressive pedigree, having won both the FA Youth Cup and Under-18 Premier League title, and represented his country from Under-16 through to Under-20 level.

Now eager to begin the next chapter of his career, the 19-year-old goalkeeper discussed his development so far, the conversations he had with manager Gavin Cowan and why Shrewsbury Town was the perfect place to continue his progress.

Speaking before he joined up with the squad for the pre-season trip to the Isle of Man, Proctor also reflected on learning alongside World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez and his ambitions for the season ahead.
