Shrewsbury Town to take on an Aston Villa XI side on Saturday, August 1.

Shrewsbury Town can announce we will host an Aston Villa XI in a pre-season friendly at the Croud Meadow on Saturday, August 1.

The fixture has been arranged as part of the agreement that saw goalkeeper Sam Proctor join Salop on a season-long loan from the Europa League winners, with the two clubs agreeing to meet during pre-season.

The match will kick off at 3pm as Town continue their preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Sunday at the following prices:
