Manager Gavin Cowan spoke to the media after Town continued their pre-season preparations with a friendly against West Bromwich Albion at the Croud Meadow.
A brace from Jimmy-Jay Morgan, along with goals from Harry Whitwell and Aune Heggebo, saw the Championship side claim a 4-1 victory.
Speaking after the match, Gavin said the game provided the perfect test for his players, with with the boss eager to face a side who enjoy dominating possession.
The boss also confirmed Will Boyle has been appointed the club's new captain and provided the latest on the transfer front.
