Three Shrewsbury Town Icons Honoured With Croud Meadow Banner!
140th celebreations
Three Shrewsbury Town legends have now been honoured with permanent banners outside the Croud Meadow as part of our 140th anniversary celebrations - with one more still to come 👀
Jake King, Mickey Brown and Mal Starkey have all been unveiled as the latest legends to be recognised outside the stadium, joining the names of Graham Turner, Alf Wood, Ken Mulhearn and Arthur Rowley who are also proudly displayed.
A fan vote was held to decide which legends should be honoured next, with Jake King topping the ballot when voting closed, followed by Mickey Brown.
Mal Starkey has also been recognised for his outstanding contribution to the club, both on and off the pitch.
The banners form part of a wider series of initiatives taking place throughout our 140th anniversary season, celebrating the history and people who have played an important role in the story of Shrewsbury Town.
However, the anniversary project is not finished yet, with one more name to be revealed soon 👀
